Trima contains the active ingredient called moclobemide. Moclobemide belongs to a group ofmedicines called antidepressants. Antidepressants are used to treat depression and work on the centralnervous system. They are thought to work by their action on brainchemicals called amines, which are involved in controlling mood. There are many different types of medicines used to treat depression. Moclobemide belongs to a group ofmedicines called reversible inhibitorsof monoamine oxidase A (RIMA).
Use:
Depressions of a various etiology: at a maniacal - depressive psychosis, various forms of a schizophrenia, an alcoholism, senile and involutional, reactive and neurotic, a sociophobia.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity, acute infringement of consciousness, pregnancy, a feeding a breast (for the period of treatment stop), children's age (safety and efficiency of application for children are not determined).
Side effects:
From the side of nervous system and sense organs:
a giddiness, a headache, frustration of dream, an agitation, alarm, irritability, a confusion of consciousness, a paresthesia, an illegibility of vision.
From the side of bodies of the gastrointestinal tract:
dryness in a mouth, a nausea, a heartburn, feeling of overflow of a stomach, a diarrhea / constipation. Other: dermal reactions (an eruption, an itch, a urticaria, inflows).
Interactions:
Strengthens and extends effect of sympathomimetics and opiates. Enlarges probability of development of side reactions from the side of the CNS at a combination to a dextromethorphan. Cimetidinum retards a biotransformation of a moclobemid.
Application and dose:
Inside, after meal - 300-600 mg, for 2-3 receptions. The initial daily dose - 300 mg, at serious depressions can be enlarged up to 600 mg. Rising of a dose is recommended to be carried out not earlier, than through 1 weeks after the beginning of therapy. At achievement of clinical effect a dose reduce.
