Febacip Plus is a broad spectrum drug that treats roundworm and tapeworm in dogs and puppies. It removes tapeworms (such as, taenia pisiformis, dipylidium caninum, echincoccus multilocularis, echinococcus granulosus), hookworms (like uncinaria stenocephala and ancylostoma caninum), whipworms (trichuris vulpis) and ascarids (toxascaris leonine and toxocara canis) in dogs.

Dosage and administration
The accurate dosage of Febacip Plus for a dog can be determined by the doctor. The dosage will differ depending on dog's medical condition. Strictly observe all of your vet's directions when giving drug to your dog.

Puppies from 2 weeks of age can also be treated with this drug. The dose should be given once a fortnight. After the puppy become 3 months of age, give the treatment at 3 month intervals from then subsequently. Administer the pill whole straight to the dog's mouth or you can consider crushing the tablet and blending into your dog's foodstuff. By no means give more double a dose. Even if you miss to give any dose, bounce it and continue as usual from the next dose later on.

Warning
Your dog should not receive treatment with Febacip Plus if you think your pet may be sensitive to any of its components. If you don't know about it confirm it by consulting your veterinarian before giving the drug. Notify your vet all the time if your pet is receiving any other medication, or if you pet will bear a child or is breast feeding puppies.

Ensure your dog is free of fleas before using Febacip Plus, as fleas host worms, therefore unless your dog is flea free he or she will be re-infested with worms. Febacip Plus is contraindicated in PREGNANT ANIMALS or it may result in abortion and fetal abnormalities.

Assume strict sanitized safety measures while handling dogs or feces supposed of holding E. multilocularis. Parasites eggs may fall in the feces of the dogs that are under this treatment for the first time and dogs getting treatment at intervals more than 28 days after treatment. It is essential to hold the animals in the clinic during this interval. You must also burn all feces. Or you can destroy the eggs by drenching the feces in a sodium hypochlorite (bleach) liquid of 3.75% or greater. Cautiously wash all areas with sodium hypochlorite where the animal was maintained and dry wholly before use it again.

Side effects
Febacip Plus not only treats disease, but it also has some adverse reactions. Your pet may suffer from effects like, lack of appetite, salivating more than normal, vomiting, diarrhea and lethargy. It may rarely induce bloody/mucoid stool and watery/profuse stool. Call your veterinarian if you become aware of any side effects.
